I have owned a cat and I have allergies as I wrote in the piece. In the set up, I said ambivalence. At the end when I say cat-hating, I clearly state, I'm not fixed on the issue. This is supposed to be more of a funny, tongue in cheek musing on how there are some in the world who are less passionate than others in their adoration of cats.
